A 90-Day Ecommerce Growth Plan: What Should Actually Happen First?

A 90-day ecommerce growth plan should move from diagnosis to redesign, implementation and validation, not stack three months of disconnected marketing activity.

Notebook and business charts for ecommerce planning

A 90-day growth plan should not be a calendar full of campaigns. It should be a sequence of decisions.

The objective is to identify what is limiting growth, change the relevant part of the system and collect enough evidence to decide what deserves scale.

Days 1 to 14: establish reality

Start with clean commercial data. Map revenue, margin, CAC, conversion, average order value, repeat purchase, channel mix and product economics. Then inspect the customer journey. The goal is not to find every weakness. It is to find the constraint that matters now.

Days 15 to 30: redesign the constraint

If the offer is weak, redesign the value proposition, bundle or buying logic. If conversion is weak, redesign the path from intent to checkout. If acquisition is the constraint, revisit creative, audience, channel economics and measurement. If retention is weak, build the reason and mechanism for customers to return.

Do not launch five major changes at once. You lose the ability to understand what caused the result.

Days 31 to 60: implement and instrument

Ship the highest-leverage changes. Make sure tracking is good enough to compare before and after. Define the metric that should move and the downside condition that would make you stop.

Days 61 to 90: validate and decide

Validation is not “the campaign looked good.” It means the business can explain what changed in customer behavior and commercial economics. Did conversion improve without margin damage? Did CAC fall because acquisition improved or because more revenue came from existing customers? Did the improvement persist after the novelty period?

The output should be a decision

At the end of 90 days, one of three things should be true: scale the change, iterate the change, or stop it. The value is not activity. It is better capital allocation.

The Morph Cycle is Morph’s structured 90-day approach to this process.
